What is Macomb County famous for? The list is long. A freshwater fishing capital. Historic mineral baths and rose city. Stops on the Underground Railroad. A world-renowned engineering and design center. Miles and miles of shorelines. Automotive plants and suppliers. A diverse and eclectic variety of recreational activities. And the list goes on. Macomb County has also produced its fair share of people who have made a mark in the world. They include actors and entertainers, athletes, even an astronaut. You may have watched them on TV, seen them perform in concert or even been a neighbor. Many are still within our county, or close by, including hockey players Dan Dekeyser and Steven Olefsky seen above. We are proud they call Macomb County home.
